Makeup I´m Currently Loving

It´s been awhile since I talked about what products I have been loving at the moment, mainly because I use a lot of the things over and over again but recently there have been a few additions to my makeup routine that I haven´t been able to stop using.

Recently I have been loving a primer, and actually using it every time I use makeup I honesty can´t remember doing this, I normally forget, but this one has really amazed me, the primer in question is the Makeup Forever Step 1 Smoothing primer, it just improves the texture of my skin and like the primer says smooths it, which is my biggest concern with my skin is the texture, it´s a new release from the brand, there are actually quite a few for different concerns, I also have my eye on the Mattifying one. 

For my base I have been obsessed with 2, the Dior Star Foundation for when I want more coverage and the Chanel Vitalumìere Aqua for the days I want a lighter base that still gives me good coverage and if I need more I just pop a little bit of concealer.

For blush I have been loving Mac Crisp Whites from the new collection Wash and Dry, it´s a lovely peach colour.

For my eyes I have been loving this crayon Colorband Eyeshadow and liner from Bourjois in the shade 02 Brun, a lovely bronzy color perfect to Summer.

Finally for my lips I have been wearing non stop the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in the shade 06, a lovely nude.

The Paris Makeup Bag

Recently I went to Paris, so I thought that I would break down what I took with me.

I tried not to get carried away and just bring the bare minimal. I did just that except I brought quite a few lip options!

For my base I brought the Bourjois 123 CC Cream, I love the coverage it gives, it´s one my favourite foundations ever! For concealer I went with my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, currently obsessed with this to cover my under eyes circles, sexy I know!

For blush I actually took 2, the Benefit Dallas, a current favourite, I´m so obsessed with this blush that I have to force myself to use something else! I also took the Nars blush in Gina ( not in the photo) , a  favourite of mine, but most of the time I used Benefit Dallas. For bronzer I took Nars Laguna, one of my Holy Grails, I love it so much!

For my eyeshadow I took my beloved Mac Soba, I can´t go anywhere without this! My favourite eyeshadow of all time! I actually have 2, one in my Mac palette and another in the pan , that´s how much I love it! I also brought the Dior palette in 796 Cuir Cannage, a beautiful neutral palette. For mascara I obviously took another holy grail of mine the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara.

Finally for lips here´s where I went a bit mental, I brought Mac Patisserie ( holy grail), Maybelline Color Elixir in 725 Caramel Infused, Nars Audacious Lipstick in Anita, Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Doce Vita , Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 92 Èmotion.

I also did quite a bit of shopping, haul coming soon....

2014 Makeup Favourites!

Tomorrow will be 2015! 2014 went by so fast!

Here are my 2014 makeup favourites, I thought it would more difficult to narrow down my favourite products of the year, but I manage to do it!

So let´s begin

I always start my eye makeup first! I forgot to include in the picture but my holy grail eyeshadow primer is the Nars Pro prime smudge proof eyeshadow base, it´s the best for my oily eye lids!

Eyeshadow- I love to play around with different eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes but the stand out, holy grail, if I could only have one eyeshadow is Mac Soba, I love it so much! This is my favourite eyeshadow ever!

Eye Liner- My favourite, another holy grail product is Dior waterproof eyeliner pencil 594 Intense Brown. I think I have repurchased this 3 or 4 times, that´s how much I love it!

Mascara- My holy grail is the Max Factor False Lash Effect, but I also loved the Lóreal Miss Manga.

Foundation- Nars Sheer Glow is still my holy grail but this year 2 foundations stole my heart, in the end I choose the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, I love this foundation so much that I already bought another one! The coverage are colour match are just perfect! The other foundation that I also loved is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, I use it more in the evening for going out to dinner, parties or special events.

Concealer- I´m a bit of a floozy when it comes to concealer so I couldn´t  pick one, but for under my eyes the By Terry Touch Expert Advanced is still one of my holy grail products but the Nars Creamy concealer is also amazing! I have been using this a lot this year, I use the shade Custard which is more yellow toned, great for a bit of a highlight and the by terry is more peachy.

Bronzer- This year I fell back in love with bronzer, I stop using it for a while, but this year I loved using bronzer, and my favourite is an old favourite holy grail  Nars Laguna! It´s Perfection! I have a few bronzers that I love but this one has my heart!

Blush- I love me a peach blush! Pretty much all my blushes are a peachy shade, so it was super difficult to chose just one, in the end I choose Nars Gina, I just have been gravitating to this blush a lot through out the year.

Highlighter- This year I have skipped highlighter a lot, my skin texture hasn´t been the best so I didn´t want to make that more visible. But one highlighter that I used when I wanted a luminous glow is the Balm Betty Lou Manizer, it just gives a bronzy glow to the face. I also love Mary Lou Manizer.

Lips- This was so hard, because I love love lipstick  but in the end I choose Mac Patisserie for my nude/ natural colour and Mac Flat Out Fabulous for my bold shade.

Lip Gloss- It´s a fairly new addition but my Maybelliner Color Elixir in 725 

Caramel Infused has to be my favourite! Seriously love this color!

October-November Favourites

Monthly favourites are always a tricky thing to write about, just because I use a lot of the same products must of the time and I always feel there are not enough to share, so this time I´m combining October and November products.
For my base I have been loving Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in 32 Light Beige, the one in the photo is my brand new one, I´m pretty close to finish my other bottle, that´s how much I love this foundation, as soon as I was running out of it I had to immediately buy a new one! It´s just amazing, the colour is a pretty good match, it´s very yellow based just how I like it! The coverage is great, must of the time I don´t even need concealer!
For the eyes, I have been a bit of a floozy, but one that I used quite a few times was the Estée Lauder Pure Color Stay-on Shadow Paint in 01 Chained, it´s such a beautiful bronzy colour.
When it comes to blush I have been switching between Mac Mineralize Blush in Love Joy ( a shimmery bronzy-peach colour)  and Nars Gina Blush ( matte peach). Love them both!
For the lips, I have been enjoying a more nude lip than usual, again when it comes to lipstick I´m also a floozy, but there are 2 that I have been loving. The first one it´s a surprise to me it´s a peachy nude that before I really didn´t like but there is something about the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella that just works, and the second is the Dior Rouge Dior in 434 Brun Samarcande, it´s a lovely nudey, brown pinky shade that I have been using non stop. I´m obsessed!

The Makeup Change Up

Recently I have been doing my makeup a little differently. I have been using a new blush that I´m obsessed with, the Mac Mineralize Blush in Love Joy,its a bronzey shade with gold shimmer.It´s beautiful it just adds a bronzey glow to your skin, sometimes I wear it on top of bronzer and others by it self. For me it´s a change from my peach blushes, and since I bought I can´t stop using it!

Another recent addition to my collection is the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella, it´s a peachy nude, which I normally stay away from, but after seeing Tijan using it on a video I was sold and bought it even thought I was afraid that I wasn´t going to be able to pull it off, but when I first put in on my lips Surprise Surprise I actually liked it and have been using it quite often.

Sometimes is good to have a makeup change up,to every once in awhile to try something a little different but don´t expect to see me in a green eyeshadow anytime soon....

September Favourites

I know it´s late for September Favourites and I only have a few, but I though I would share them with you anyway.

I still use a lot of the same things mentioned in previous months, but I have a few new products that I have been enjoying using. Enter the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette, review here, I used it everyday since the day I got it! I Love it!

In September I started using blush again, and I have been loving Mac Gingerly, it´s just such a lovely  peach colour. And finally for lips I have been lining my lips with Mac Dervish Lip Liner and for  lipstick I have been using Burberry Lip Cover in Blush No.09, because it´s a much darker pink then I´m used to I put it on and then blend it in, it just gives a natural your lips but better colour.

Birthday Makeup

Last Tuesday was my birthday, I loved my makeup, so what did I wear? I after trying a few looks I finally decided on this. For my foundation I choose Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation ( I mixed shades 6 and 4), By Terry Touch-Expert Advanced (shade 3) under eye concealer, Nars Laguna Bronzer, Nars Gina Blush. For my eye makeup my favourite part! I used Mac Cork eyeshadow all over the lid, Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette in The Dolce Vita ( I used the dark brown shade in the outer V and crease and patted the glitter shade all over the lid) then I used Mac Cork eyeshadow again in the crease. For my feline flick I used my Dior Waterproof Eyeliner in 594 Intense Brown, for mascara I used a new favourite Lóreal Miss Manga Mascara. Finally for the lips I lined my lips with  the Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner in Eastend Snob, then I used Mac Patisserie Lipstick and finally a Dior Gloss in 452 on top. And Voilà the look was complete!!!

July Favourites

I can´t believe tomorrow is already going to be August! Time goes by so fast!

This month for my base I have been loving the Nars Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska, since I have had a few breakouts the Makeup Forever Full Cover concealer in 06 was a must, this stuff is amazing it covers everything! In July most days I skipped blush, Say What?!? I used mainly Nars Laguna Bronzer, but in the days I did use blush I used Nars Gina. 

When it comes to eye makeup I used the Bobbi Brown Sand Palette ( review here) and Mac Teddy eyeliner. For lips I have been obsessed with Mac Patisserie not a very summery colour I know! But when I´m feeling something bright I reached for Mac Lustering or Ysl Gloss Volupté in 206.

The Summer Lip Edit

It seems Summer finally has arrived, even though the other night was pouring rain!

But as I´m typing this the sun is out, so I thought it was the perfect day to write about my favourite lip colours for summer, in case you couldn´t tell there are mainly hot pink!

The Lipsticks:

-A few months ago The Body Shop released new shades from their Colour Crush Collection my favourites are the shades 14( fuchsia hot pink), 15 ( warm hot pink) and 18 ( coral-strawberry), yes I´m terrible at describing colours! They are quite sheer but you can build them up, perfect for Summer

- Mac Flat Out Fabulous ( Hot Pink with a purple undertone) ( It´s a Retro Matte finish so you will need to exfoliate your lips and loads of lip balm before you apply it!)

- Mac Lustering ( Strawberry colour) It´s a luster finish so is a little more sheer and moisturising.

- Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in 44 La Diva ( LE) ( Bright Pink with purple undertones)

- Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 06 Pink Pong ( Fushia Pink) it dries Matte

 The Glosses

- Chanel Glossimer 179 Murmure 

- Ysl  Gloss Volupté 206

Currently Loving # 1

Now that the sun is coming out more and we are getting ready for Summer, even though the rain has come out a few times, NOT ACCEPTABLE it´s JUNE!!!! I have been craving the bronze Goddess look with a pop of colour on the lips.
So here is a few products I have been loving, The Ysl Touche Eclat foundation because it gives me a little bit of colour without making me look orange, I just slightly blend it into my neck (my shade is B40), this is a dewy foundation so soon enough I will have to stop wearing it because during the Summer my skin gets very oily so I have to use more matte foundations or Say Goodbye Dewy look and Hello Oily Hot Mess, and yes there is a Difference!!! One looks amazing, fresh and healthy and the second looks gross not a good look! But for now while is not super hot I can still wear it, I love this foundation!
Next we move on into bronzer I´m obsessed with this bronzer from the Clarins summer collection ( review here), I have been using it a lot. For blush I feel back in love with my Nars Blush in Gina its a beautiful matte peach blush I love it it has hardly left my cheeks this past few weeks and for highlighter I have been loving Betty-Lou Manizer from The Balm that just adds a beautiful bronzey glow.
Now onto eyes I could do a post just about my favourite eyeshadows but one in particular that I have been loving is Indianwood paint pot from Mac, it´s a gold-bronze eyeshadow to me is like mac woodwinked in cream form, I have been wearing this look with  my new favourite lipstick Mac Flat Out Fabulous, I´m obsessed with this amazing Hot Pink colour, it´s a retro matte formula so I would advise you to exfoliated and moisturiser your lips very well before you use it. And finally another favourite is a Mac Lustering its a beautiful pink-straberry-berry colour?? I´m terrible at describing things! Iam in Love with it so pretty for Summer. All about the Eyes- AW 13 Beauty

Jason Wu AW 13 Beauty

This season the makeup that caught my eye was from the Jason Wu and Gucci shows. It was all about the eyes! I love the copper and blue-purple shades it's a fresh of breath air because a lot of the makeup that I saw from the other shows the focus was on the lips with a red or berry lipstick, which I love but it was nice to see a departure from that. I'm obsessed with this looks, I will definitely try to re-create them. I will let you know if I succeed, we shall see!
