2014 Makeup Favourites!

Tomorrow will be 2015! 2014 went by so fast!
Here are my 2014 makeup favourites, I thought it would more difficult to narrow down my favourite products of the year, but I manage to do it!
So let´s begin

I always start my eye makeup first! I forgot to include in the picture but my holy grail eyeshadow primer is the Nars Pro prime smudge proof eyeshadow base, it´s the best for my oily eye lids!

Eyeshadow- I love to play around with different eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes but the stand out, holy grail, if I could only have one eyeshadow is Mac Soba, I love it so much! This is my favourite eyeshadow ever!

Eye Liner- My favourite, another holy grail product is Dior waterproof eyeliner pencil 594 Intense Brown. I think I have repurchased this 3 or 4 times, that´s how much I love it!

Mascara- My holy grail is the Max Factor False Lash Effect, but I also loved the Lóreal Miss Manga.

Foundation- Nars Sheer Glow is still my holy grail but this year 2 foundations stole my heart, in the end I choose the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, I love this foundation so much that I already bought another one! The coverage are colour match are just perfect! The other foundation that I also loved is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, I use it more in the evening for going out to dinner, parties or special events.

Concealer- I´m a bit of a floozy when it comes to concealer so I couldn´t  pick one, but for under my eyes the By Terry Touch Expert Advanced is still one of my holy grail products but the Nars Creamy concealer is also amazing! I have been using this a lot this year, I use the shade Custard which is more yellow toned, great for a bit of a highlight and the by terry is more peachy.

Bronzer- This year I fell back in love with bronzer, I stop using it for a while, but this year I loved using bronzer, and my favourite is an old favourite holy grail  Nars Laguna! It´s Perfection! I have a few bronzers that I love but this one has my heart!

Blush- I love me a peach blush! Pretty much all my blushes are a peachy shade, so it was super difficult to chose just one, in the end I choose Nars Gina, I just have been gravitating to this blush a lot through out the year.

Highlighter- This year I have skipped highlighter a lot, my skin texture hasn´t been the best so I didn´t want to make that more visible. But one highlighter that I used when I wanted a luminous glow is the Balm Betty Lou Manizer, it just gives a bronzy glow to the face. I also love Mary Lou Manizer.

Lips- This was so hard, because I love love lipstick  but in the end I choose Mac Patisserie for my nude/ natural colour and Mac Flat Out Fabulous for my bold shade.

Lip Gloss- It´s a fairly new addition but my Maybelliner Color Elixir in 725
Caramel Infused has to be my favourite! Seriously love this color!

So here they are my 2014 makeup favourites? What were yours?
I hope you have an amazing New Year! Happy 2015!

New In

I recently went to Spain and of course I did some Beauty shopping. Shocker, I know!!!
I definitely had to restrain myself, because if I had my way, I would have bought a lot more!
Now moving on to what matters, what did I buy????
As usual I went a little Nars mad, I bought the Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Cordura- I already used the lighter shade all over the lid a couple of times and I have to say its love! So beautiful! I can´t wait to use the darker shade to smoke it out, maybe next time I´ll go out for dinner.
I bought 3 lipsticks all in different formulas- the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita, it´s a warm rosy slightly red shade, sorry I´m terrible at describing colours. Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Tonkin, it´s a warm nude slightly pinky-browny 90s shade??? I know I´m amazing at describing colours, not! I also just realised that I should have taken the lids of the Nars lipsticks so you could see the colours! What an Idiot! Sorry! And finally I bought the Nars Audacious Lipstick in Brigitte, looks beautiful in the tube but on my lips it looks like a bright peachy-coral shade that I´m not sure it suits me, I shall keep trying to use it! I also have my eye on a few more colours!
I also went to Bobbi Brown, and bought another brush, this time was the Full Coverage Face, which is funny because I think it makes my foundation look more natural than full coverage like my beloved Sigma F 80 Flat Kabuki Brush does. But I still like it.
On the more affordable side I bought the Maybelline Color Elixir in 725 Caramel Infused, I´m OBSESSED with this colour! I LOVE IT! I also bought the Max Factor FaceFinity All day Primer, so far so good, I quite like it.
And finally I bought these Rimmel Keep Calm balms in 020 Pink Blush Keep Calm and Kiss and 030 Berry Blush Keep Calm and Rock.

October-November Favourites

Monthly favourites are always a tricky thing to write about, just because I use a lot of the same products must of the time and I always feel there are not enough to share, so this time I´m combining October and November products.
For my base I have been loving Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in 32 Light Beige, the one in the photo is my brand new one, I´m pretty close to finish my other bottle, that´s how much I love this foundation, as soon as I was running out of it I had to immediately buy a new one! It´s just amazing, the colour is a pretty good match, it´s very yellow based just how I like it! The coverage is great, must of the time I don´t even need concealer!
For the eyes, I have been a bit of a floozy, but one that I used quite a few times was the Estée Lauder Pure Color Stay-on Shadow Paint in 01 Chained, it´s such a beautiful bronzy colour.
When it comes to blush I have been switching between Mac Mineralize Blush in Love Joy ( a shimmery bronzy-peach colour)  and Nars Gina Blush ( matte peach). Love them both!
For the lips, I have been enjoying a more nude lip than usual, again when it comes to lipstick I´m also a floozy, but there are 2 that I have been loving. The first one it´s a surprise to me it´s a peachy nude that before I really didn´t like but there is something about the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella that just works, and the second is the Dior Rouge Dior in 434 Brun Samarcande, it´s a lovely nudey, brown pinky shade that I have been using non stop. I´m obsessed!

What have you been loving this month?

The Makeup Change Up

Recently I have been doing my makeup a little differently. I have been using a new blush that I´m obsessed with, the Mac Mineralize Blush in Love Joy,its a bronzey shade with gold shimmer. It´s beautiful it just adds a bronzey glow to your skin, sometimes I wear it on top of bronzer and others by it self. For me it´s a change from my peach blushes, and since I bought I can´t stop using it!
Another recent addition to my collection is the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella, it´s a peachy nude, which I normally stay away from, but after seeing Tijan using it on a video I was sold and bought it even thought I was afraid that I wasn´t going to be able to pull it off, but when I first put in on my lips Surprise Surprise I actually liked it and have been using it quite often.
Sometimes is good to have a makeup change up,to every once in awhile to try something a little different but don´t expect to see me in a green eyeshadow anytime soon....

Bobbi Brown Mini Haul

Every time I go to Spain, one of counters I always get excited to check is Bobbi Brown. I always find impossible to leave without purchasing anything.
I have had my eye on the Eye Blender brush for a while now, and this time I bought it, and boy I´m I glad I did! It just makes your eyeshadow look flawless, its just so fuss free.
And yes I bought another palette the Smokey Nudes Eye Palette, I know I have a problem!I think we established that by now! I blame Tijan, when I saw her using this palette in a video I knew it had to be mine. Also a Tijan inspired purchase is the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow in Beach Bronze 16.
Iam definitely having a Bobbi Brown moment and I already have a few more things in my Wish List....

September Favourites

I know it´s late for September Favourites and I only have a few, but I though I would share them with you anyway.
I still use a lot of the same things mentioned in previous months, but I have a few new products that I have been enjoying using. Enter the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette, review here, I used it everyday since the day I got it! I Love it!
In September I started using blush again, and I have been loving Mac Gingerly, it´s just such a lovely  peach colour. And finally for lips I have been lining my lips with Mac Dervish Lip Liner and for  lipstick I have been using Burberry Lip Cover in Blush No.09, because it´s a much darker pink then I´m used to I put it on and then blend it in, it just gives a natural your lips but better colour.

What did you love in the month of September?

Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana

Burberry
For SS15 Beauty, the skin was kept very natural, dewy and beautifully highlighted. There wasn´t a lot going on in the eyes. The makeup was fairly natural, but what what changed from show to show were the lips. Some opted for a natural lip, while other went for a bold one. There were some berry and red lips going on! Which is a change from what we are used to see for Summer, I definitely don´t wear a berry or dark red lip in the Summer, but it looked amazing!
These were my favourite looks, but my top 2 were from Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana.

The only show I actually know what was used was the Burberry show. Here´s the details!
They started with the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base in Golden Radiance No.02 to give a glow to the skin.
For the base they used a mix of the Burberry Glow BB Cream and the Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation. The concealer used was the Burberry Sheer Concealer.
For blush the Burberry Light Glow Blusher in Earthly No.07, which it was used also as a sheer wash of colour on the eyes as eyeshadow. One of the particularities of this look, was that they didn't used any mascara, to keep the look more modern. I love mascara, so don´t know if I´m going to embrace this look, we´ll see.
To keep the eyebrows in place it was used the Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer.
And finally the focus point of makeup, the lips, the lipstick used was the Burberry Lip Cover in Ruby No.18.

What were your favourite Beauty looks? Will you embrace the no mascara look?

If you want to recreate the Burberry look, here are some wonderful videos by Anna  and Estée

Fashion week has ended, and as usual I always post my favourites looks and shows.
I was quite surprised to see a a lot of dark colours, a lot of black. In some shows I though are these the AW collections? No these are Spring/Summer collections! But I wear black all year round so theres not much I can say about that.
My favourite shows, If I had to pick a Top 3 definitely would be: Dolce & Gabbana, there´s no surprised there, I love it! It´s feminine, sexy, it always reminds of the italian screen sirens, what can I say I love Dolce & Gabbana!  Etro, love the boho vibe it had and Elie Saab it was so feminine.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette

The old version is on the left and the new one is on the right.

Yes, I know another neutral palette? You are probably tired of seeing them, there is one in every brand, but if you are like me and only uses neutral shades, you will love this baby, it´s perfection!
Too Faced had this palette for a long time, but recently they replaced 3 shades, and I´m so happy they did! In my opinion it made it better.
This was I think my first eyeshadow palette, and I have to admit I never used it that much, I don´t know why I just didn´t gravitated towards it very often, but when I saw they changed the shades and replaced it with 2 amazing browns, I knew I had to check it out. I loved it and obviously ended up buying it, I have been using it non stop, I´m obsessed! I have been using Nudie all over the lid, Cashmere bunny in the crease and Sexpresso in the outer v, I also love Honey Pot in the inner corners of my eye. I haven´t used the shimmer shades yet, but next time I go out for dinner I will definitely give those a go, they look beautiful. The colours are beautiful, the pigmentation is great, it´s a winner in my eyes.
In the second picture you can see the two palettes, the old and the new version side to side so you can compare them.
Do you own any of the palettes? Or do you have both? Which one do you prefer?

Style Crush: Dita Von Teese

As long as I can remember Dita has always been one of my style Icons, she is just amazing. She has the whole old hollywood glam style down to a T.
She is just so Fab! Her style is amazing and so is her hair and makeup, she always looks flawless, not only for the red carpet but on her daily life as well! Dita is the queen of the feline flick and red lips!

Here are some of my favourite interviews of her. Enjoy!

Kiko Daring Game

Kiko always has the best limited edition collections, there is always so much choice and I always want to buy everything! This time I tamed myself and only bought 4 things, which you might think it´s still a lot but I wanted to buy a lot more. What a surprise! I really had to stop myself from buying the bronzer/highlighter duo and the blush duo, well I´m waiting until they go on sale, it was quite annoying to see the summer collection on sale, to such reduced prices, so this time I will wait, and I might buy them then. Now onto what I bought, the first thing it caught my eye, want to guess? If you have been reading this blog, you should know the answer. If you said the neutral palette, you guessed right! I know I don´t need another neutrals, browns eyeshadow palette, but as usual I couldn´t help myself! I stopped myself from buying it a few times but in the end I caved in! Shocker, I know! I choose The Queen of Hearts Eyeshadow Palette in 01 Essential Brown, the pigmentation of the eyeshadows is very good, much better then the summer collection. I already used the two bronzy, brown ones and I loved it, they have quite a warm tone, which I love. I have been enjoying using them.
Since we are on the topic of eyes I also bought the Mystery smokey eye pencil in 17 Heady Rock Brown, the colour is quite unique I don´t own anything like it, it´s a brown with a bit of black with gold shimmer, for me this is more evening appropriated, I think for during the day it might be a bit much.
Now onto lips, when I saw the Ace of Diamond lipstick in 27 Refined Burgundy in a post from one of my favourite beauty bloggers Viviannadoesmakeup and I knew I had to get it, its a beautiful berry colour, I also bought the matching lip liner ( the colour is the same).
Overall I´m very impressed with this collection, I literally wanted to buy everything!
Kiko why do you keep doing this to me? Always bringing out gorgeous collections! Why?

August Favourites

This month I didn´t have a lot of new favourites, I´m still using a lot of the products from my July Favourites. One of the products that I changed this month was my foundation, I switched between the Chanel Perfection Lumière foundation (shade 20 Beige) and the By Terry Terrybly Densiliss foundation (shade 7 Golden Beige), their finish is a lot more matte than I´m used to, which is perfect for Summer since my skin gets super oily this time of the year. For bronzer Nars Laguna is still my favourite, I know I have been mentioning it a lot!
For mascara I have a new favourite Lòreal Miss Manga Mascara, I love it!
Finally for lips Mac Patisserie is still my favourite, our love affair is still going strong! But for something new I have been enjoying Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Pink Pong, it´s a gorgeous bright pink and for gloss I have been reaching for Chanel Glossimer in 179 Murmure, a pinky coral.
